OSU Speech and Language Clinic

Welcome to the OSU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. We believe everyone deserves to communicate and we are dedicated to helping you find your voice. The clinic is open to the public.

 

The clinic is located within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the Social Sciences & Humanities building on the OSU campus at the corner of University and Monroe. There are reserved parking spaces for clients in lot 38 or a permit can be issued for the surrounding lots marked staff parking in blue. Click to see a map of lot locations. All lots require a permit. To obtain a permit, go to 042 Social Sciences & Humanities.

Clinical Services

Below are the disorders we treat and the fees associated. Financial assistance is available on a case by case basis. Please contact our office for inquiries. Comprehensive evaluations and treatment are provided for individuals with communication disorders or differences in the following areas:

Referrals

Referrals for an evaluation or treatment may come from the patient, the patient’s parent or guardian, a physician, psychologist, teacher or other healthcare professional or agency.

 

Fees

The OSU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic is committed to providing quality speech, language and hearing services, regardless of your ability to pay. We accept SoonerCare payment with a referral from your primary care physician, and as a courtesy to our patients, will bill your insurance company. Please remember that you are responsible for any amount that your insurance company does not cover. If you do not have insurance and cannot afford the regular cost of services, we will be happy to apply a sliding scale that is based on income and the number in your family. Most patients enrolled in the clinic are seen for individual therapy. The number of therapy sessions per week, as well as the length of the sessions depends upon the severity of the communication disorder. Therapy sessions are usually scheduled one or two times weekly for 25 or 50 minute sessions.

Outreach Clinics

Additionally, the clinical faculty and graduate students provide speech and language services in two clinics on campus; the Child Developmental Laboratory (CDL) and the Life Center.

 

SPEAK OUT!® and free LOUD Crowd® Programs—in-person and online.
 
We provide the SPEAK OUT!® Therapy Program, developed by Parkinson Voice Project, it is a comprehensive program to help people with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and related neurological disorders regain and retain their speech and swallowing.

 

For those who have completed the SPEAK OUT!® program, either at the OSU clinic or elsewhere, we offer two weekly free LOUD Crowd® groups.

In-person LOUD Crowd®: Wednesdays from 3:30-4:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church (523 S Duncan Street; located at the intersection of Duck and 6th Street), Stillwater, OK 74074.

Online LOUD Crowd®: Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m., via Zoom. Please contact Dr. Parveen for the meeting link and other details.

Tulsa Speech-Language Clinic

Location

The OSU-Tulsa Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic is located in the room 391 of the North Classroom building at 700 N. Greenwood Ave, Tulsa.
