Students with a bachelor's degree in a discipline other than communication sciences and disorders must complete 24 semester hours of prerequisite course work before being admitted to the graduate program. These students should apply to the graduate school as a "Special Student (Non-Degree Seeking)". Prerequisite courses include:

  • CDIS 2223 Speech and Language Development
  • CDIS 3313 Phonetics
  • CDIS 4313 Speech Science
  • CDIS 3203 Anatomy and Physiology of the Speech Mechanism
  • CDIS 3123 Audiology Diagnosis
  • CDIS 4133 Audiology Treatment
  • CDIS 4423 Neural Bases of Speech and Language
  • CDIS 3113 Communication Disorders in Children
